The first ever International Restaurateurs’ Dinner happened on the 25 April 2022 at The @rosewoodlondon.🥂

This fundraising event was a joint initiative of the @royalacademyofculinaryarts, @worldycyw and the @wineguilduk.

The London Essence Company range of exquisite mixers is crafted from distilled botanicals, to deliver the purest flavour.

Founded in 1896, on the banks of the River Thames, The London Essence Company used the expertise gained whilst working for leading perfume houses, to produce high quality essences and flavours for leading food and drink companies of the era.

Its secret was using the science of distillation and the art of layering flavours to create natural essences with unmatched depth of flavour and complexity. In 2016 the London Essence archives were discovered gathering dust and the company was refreshed. Today, inspired by the craft and inventiveness of the original firm, The London Essence Company is able to use these techniques to create an extensive range of tonics, gingers and sodas to create a lighter and more tasteful experience.

The first ever International Restaurateurs’ Dinn

The first ever International Restaurateurs’ Dinner (IRD) took place on Monday night at @rosewoodlondon in the heart of the city, with a sensational menu created by some of the UK’s leading chefs – @claudebosi1, @cheftomkerridge, @jeff1galvin, @simonyoungchef and @chefmarkperkins.

The event raised £44,500 in aid of the @royalacademyofculinaryarts, @worldycyw and the @wineguilduk.

The evening was sponsored by @champagnelaurentperrier and raised £44,500 via a raffle and silent auction. These vital funds will be invested in education and training initiatives developed by three worthwhile beneficiaries in the hospitality industry: Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Young Chef Young Waiter & The Wine Guild of the United Kingdom.

There was also a special announcement by World YCYW about a new educational foundation: ‘World YCYW Education Foundation’ which aims to break down the barriers to young people entering the hospitality industry for the first time.
